O-rings are the most frequently used seals because they are efficient and economical and can be used in a wide range of static and dynamic applications. O-rings can be used to seal virtually all liquid and gaseous media and are available in elastomers and other materials including EPDM, FKM and NBR, among others.

MOULDED O-RINGSMoulded O-rings comply with DIN 3771 published by the German Institute for Standardisation (DIN - Duetsches Institut für Normung). According to this standard, the O-ring is identified by its inner diameter and cross-section. In addition, a letter is added according to the quality of the seal and, optionally, a code for the elastomer and its IR hardness.

 

VERSION N: N seals meet the usual quality requirements and are suitable for both static and dynamic sealing services. N O-rings are available from stock.

 

VERSION S: version for demanding working conditions and with stricter quality controls than those of type N O-rings. These seals must be ordered as "Version S O-rings" while providing information on the application. They are manufactured exclusively and on request.
