YEGLES manufactures elastomeric polyurethane parts of the best COVESTRO® brands in Spain to process VULKOLLAN® in its facilities.

It is a polyurethane elastomer manufactured by hot casting.

Thanks to its formidable range of properties, Vulkollan® has already conquered many technical sectors. Its moulded parts are used in all fields requiring high wear resistance and high absorption of mechanical and dynamic stresses.

Productos Salinas also manufactures other polyurethanes with a wide range of hardness and colours for making coatings, moulding special parts, sheets, bars, tubes for machining, etc.

Vulkollan® is a high-density polyurethane with a thermo-stable nature. Vulkollan® is the result of the union of a polyester-polyol cured with 1.5 naphthalene.

We also carry out wheel coating by reusing the metal core.

Vulkollan Factory Properties

-Excellent mechanical resistance even in the open air.
-Great recovery power, when subjected to great stress.
-Low level of understanding.
-High resistance to mineral oils, greases, petroleum and a wide range of solvents.
-Good resistance to Ozone and ultraviolet rays.
-Working temperature -40°C to 80°C although it can withstand higher temperatures in intermittent work.

Vulkollan elastomer for
Industrial sealing applications

Vulkollan®, a classic among the various polyurethane elastomers. The mixtures and raw materials used for manufacturing are precisely specified and subject to strict quality controls.

The monitoring and control of the manufacturing guidelines set by COVESTRO® (originally BAYER AG) guarantee high product quality and the best response on the market in dynamic applications, however, it is characterized by its high performance in multiple facets.

  • High absorption of dynamic loads.

  • Very high resistance to tearing and abrasion.

  • The best elastic modulus among the entire range of PUR polyurethanes.

  • Hardness from 60 to 95 Shore A.

  • High resilience and low compression-set.

  • Constant elastic response over a wide temperature range.

  • Operating range: -20 +80ºC (peaks of +125ºC).

  • Low heat build-up in applications with high dynamic load.

  • Good dielectric resistivity (1010 to 1011 Ω.cm).

  • Color: Varies from a natural light color to a mahogany due to the effect of sunlight (UV), but does not affect its properties.
